A graduate of the University of British Columbia and the Thomas Jefferson University School of Law, Terry Chucas began his career in the Canadian military. Enlisting as a midshipman with the Royal Canadian Navy, Mr. Chucas spent four years in training before being promoted to a commissioned officer. In this role, Terry Chucas served as an Officer of the Deck for naval vessels.
After his honorable discharge from the military, Terry Chucas launched his own State Farm insurance agency in San Diego, California. Following a successful decade in the insurance field, he sold the agency to take a position with N.B. Cook, Inc., a developer of nursing homes in Vancouver. As an executive vice president of the firm, he leveraged his law background to help navigate the complexities of constructing and managing licensed nursing care facilities.
Since 1990, Terry Chucas has operated a family law practice in San Diego. Over the past 23 years, he has focused on cases involving child custody and parental rights. He has received substantial recognition for his efforts, including earning listing as one of San Diego’s Top Attorneys by San Diego Magazine. In addition, he garnered the highest rating available from Martindale-Hubbell, the nation’s leading rating agency for lawyers.
